It's thought he will miss the Chievo Verona match this coming weekend but has a 50/50 chance against Barcelona.

Hello new home! :D

Agreed, Chievo can be tricky... and with the Barca game just after we need to stay focused. Hopefully Dybala carries on his red hot streak

Latest update on the financial situation looks quite promising.

Juve is preparing to celebrate a very significant record according to Gazzetta dello Sport. This was already clear when, one summer ago, Pogba left for Manchester United for €105m, with a net benefit of €72.5m.

Now the confirmation comes from financials of EXOR, the club’s parent company: Juve’s January-June 2017 results are negative for €26.6m. By taking into effect Juve’s July-December 2016, which closed at €72m, a profit of about €45m. These numbers are not yet official but one thing is certain, Juve will have their budget approved on September 22nd, and record profits are set to be posted.

No matter how you look at the numbers, we have been very conservative with the budget this season.

In terms of the squad.

IN (8): Szczesny (15m), Pinsoglio, De Sciglio (10m), Howedes (3.5m), Bentancur, Matuidi (20m), Costa (6m), Bernardeschi (40m) = ~95m
OUT (8): Neto (6m), Audero, Bonucci (42m), Alves, Asamoah (10m?), Mandragora, Lemina (17m), Rincon (2m) = ~77m

Net should be around 18m (excluding bonuses). GK stronger, Mids stronger, Attack stronger, Defence arguably weaker.

P&L impact will almost certainly be POSITIVE this financial year because we booked a massive profit on Bonucci (~40m relative to book value).

Last year we also had a massivbe positive impact from the profiit on the sale of Pogba - however the higher amortization rising from Higuain's purchase price last year probably meant that the management didn't want to splurge too much.

You have to admit, considering that I would consider the overall squad to have improved at little to zero marginal cost is one hell of an achievement.

As someone here mentioned earlier in the summer the payment of Higuain might have been spread over two years so maybe €45m this summer, hence why a big name wasn't signed this summer. Higuain was worthed though imo.

Disappointed with the transfer market on the defense. We didn't need De Sciglio so that money with another 20-30m put to it would've got a really good center-half. Instead we're short at central defense and screwed Lichtsteiner. Some of it is down to Allegri as opposed to Marotta, i doubt Marotta would've wasted so much energy trying to get De Sciglio. Still hard to argue with Allegri's picks considering how well he's performed as a coach.

Agnelli, Marotta, Paratici and co have done an amazing job since taking charge, with the constantly improving squad, ability to adapt to key departures in the playing and coaching staff, and raising the revenue of the club (which is admittedly linked to success).

I have great trust in them, as they've nearly always got it right.

And yeah, I feel for Lichtsteiner, especially as De Sciglio has yet to play. Presumably Howedes might play at right back too.

Where's Sturaro playing in that lineup?

Surely not the trequartista!

FT Juventus 3-0 Chievo

Hetemaj (og) 17
Higuain 58
Dybala 83

Mandzukic injured .

Second half the depth and quality was far too much. Chievo have an old defence and it was perfect for our attacking players, but some really nice individual performances.

Pjanic MOM for me overall, but Dybala looks like the #10 jersey has given him a +10 XP boost.

I only saw the 2nd half again (Please stop with 5pm Saturday KOs!), but I enjoyed that half, mainly because of Dybala. The team was so much better with him in it, as Chievo were threatening before then. His dribbling was vital to Higuain's goal, as he took the defenders out of the way, and Higuain and Pjanic linked up intelligently to exploit that.

Maybe you should stop watching Leicester. :P

I didn't see any of it, but I'm happy the international break didn't seem to have an effect on Dybala.
