Yeah good start to the CL. Hopefully we can dominate more from the start and not need a goal first, and we need to tighten up at the back on the left, Savona might play there against Napoli. Nice to see our attacks are more varied this season.

That was frustrating to watch, despite having some attacks and decent possession i don't think we had a shot on target. Can't score unless you at least hit it between the posts! I thought the lack of strikers in the squad would catch us out soon enough.

When we're facing a team that are defending deep and in numbers, we have to get Yildiz central and closer to the striker. He's the only one who can pick open a tight defense. I was screaming at the TV for Motta to get Mbangula on and push Yildiz into the centre.

I missed most of the game so can't comment too much, but it looked pretty quickly like it'd finish 0-0.

The team's shown it can score goals in some games this season but is struggling to link up in attack in recent games like they did in the first 2, and against PSV. I think it's growing pains with Motta being new and there being a lot of new players too. It is what I expected.

Yildiz is so talented, the other lads need to wake up, they're not even on the same page as him sometimes.

We'll probably transfer list him in two summers and sell him for 12m and forget to buy another forward.

I think the team grew in confidence after the 1st goal and looked a bit more like the first couple of Serie A games. Conceicao is a player I'm looking forward to seeing more of as he looks dangerous. Fagioli is also getting up to speed again after his suspension last season.

I think the team is on the right path despite the goalless run before today.

Good penalty from Vlahovic. Every player stops their run nowadays, i thought that was illegal, i guess they must've changed the rule.

I think it's legal as long as they don't stop completely. I don't like it, I think players are more likely to miss when they do that.

Vlahovic needs to start earning his 10m salary. Two goals from play and zero assists in 7 games doesn't cut it. I think he'll find that when he pulls another Dybala-Chiesa-Rabiot approach that he'll end up on 4m max. Offering him the rumoured 9-10m salary to extend is way over what he's worth and he's stupid if he doesn't jump at it. If i was Guintoli i'd be already looking to replace him. He's got about 4 months to prove he's worth 9m. He can celebrate and stick it to journalists all he wants but they were justified in their criticism because he contributed fuck all before a closed Genoa. He needs to up his game considerably and bring his Fiorentina days tomorrow night against Leipzig. For Fiorentina he scored every second shot he took, he needs to focus and get back to that and stop being a bad winner with spiteful celebrations. The only thing as sad as a bad loser is a bad winner.

I think Vlahovic is fine. He needs to find consistency but I think he's getting there and he's joint top scorer in the league so far. He needs some competition though and when Milik returns that will both push him and enable him to rest sometimes.

I was disappointed with Cambiaso on the goal too, he should have gone with him. I was also surprised not to see a penalty awarded.

I am very concerned about Bremer's injury, he's such an important player and it looked like one of those where he's injured it when landing his foot.

Bremer was knocked over in a physical challenge with their player and went down after his foot landed holding his knee. He walked off but Gatti was sent on immediately and Bremer seemed very distressed.
