It's the first half of Motta's team that I've seen and it already looks like a team that has more of an idea going forward. Vlahovic's goal was a good finish with 3 defenders closing in and Savona did really well at the start and end of the move for the 2nd goal, although I'm thinking Vlahovic may have just touched it.

I'm feeling positive after that, it is indeed a good start to the season and with more players coming in the team should carry on improving.
It's a shame for Mbangula that new signings will see him on the fringes as he had a good impact tonight and scored on the opening day. I also think that by putting players like him and Savona in, as well as trying to change the style Motta is doing what Pirlo tried to do, but I think he'll do better as he has a few years coaching experience.

Yeah it's a pity for Mbangula as he's likely to be pushed out by Koopmeiners if he arrives, but Mbangula should be able to get league time in the matches preceding the CL games, and coppa time too. That's part of building character i guess, and it's good that there's a fight for their places on the first team. Savona looks the real deal already, i'd have no hesitation starting him in the big games. It's all early days yet though, we'll know more about these players in a few months time. I'm just conscious that i remember Diego starting brilliantly for Juve in his first month, then going off the boil so first impressions don't excite me as much ever since.

Personally I'd pass on Sancho and give his spot in the squad to Mbangula. Continue to focus on meritocracy, low wages, hunger and no egos. That's what's working now and I love it.
I have nothing against Sancho, fantastic player, I just don't think he fits the sustainability model were adopting at the moment. His wages are insane.

Totally agree with Ray, can't have someone earning 9m and everyone else is between 1-4.5m. Although currently it looks quite possible he could join so hopefully it works out regardless i suppose.
Koopmeiners has signed so that will add more competition to the midfield, all good. With Motta, he'll have to earn his spot the same as everyone else, proper order.

I'm sorry to see Chiesa go but had accepted that it's come to an end. I feel he (and others) were held back by Allegri's failure to coach the team's attacking play, and of course he had a bad injury.
I think like with Dybala the club wasn't willing to keep him on big wages with his injury history and so chose to cut him loose.
If Sancho is signed it shouldn't lead to Yildiz going to the bench. Another reason to get rid of Chiesa is Yildiz's potential, and with Koopmeiners, Conceicao and Gonzalez also coming in there's more competition already in attacking midfield and wide positions.

I didn't notice anything, but it doesn't sound like a big deal and does just sound like FI stirring things up.
