For Dels, Duncan, TR & anyone with an interest in the SPL & Scottish football in general.

I meant to post the new topic yesterday before Hearts v Rangers but the match at Tannadice in 30 mins reminded me to finally get round to it now. It was a breathless but fair draw on Saturday & the players were understandably done at the final whistle. Great entertainment for the season opener for a 0-0.

The Dundee derby is some welcome back for DUFC! Here's hoping there's some goals today.... :fastheadbanging:

Celtic started off the season on a high note! But Atalanta really pushing for O'Riley as well as Juve and Chelsea. Sucks that a team like Celtic can't keep him and try to get out of the CL group stage but that's how it goes.

Thanks for the new thread Lupo. I think….

Great to be back in the top flight.

Was out yesterday afternoon and didn’t see the game live. But sounded like United played pretty well, against a lot of our fans expectations.

We’ve made a lot of new signings, with the vast majority coming from overseas leagues. So some will inevitably take longer than others to get used to the pace of Scottish football.

But I’m pretty excited by the North Macedonian pair ofTrapanovsky and Babunsk and our new Dutch striker looks like he’s technically proficient. So fingers crossed we can have a decent season.

I'm so not in the mood for the season to start. Rangers drew with Hearts and I was like meh, shrugged and got on with my day.

And last night there was Champions League qualifiers that I didn't even know Rangers were involved in until I got the score alerts on my phone, lol.

Nah, I'm just not ready for it the season to start. I feel like it just finished. Maybe when the EPL and other leagues get started up, I'll get more into it.

Yep, it doesn't feel right for the season to be starting again when the Olympics are still going!!

With the Olympics and Euros this summer, we've been overwhelmed with sport. I feel like when the Olympics is over I might need a break, lol.

The Euros, on the whole, were very underwhelming. One of my least favourite tournaments tbh and I only saw highlights of the Copa America so I'm missing football right now....... :fastheadbanging:

The Euro's were a drag. Only Olympic stuff I have watched is the Basketball and a bit of track and field. USA vs Serbia hoops semifinal was great today.

The B-Girls in the Breaking yesterday were ace as was the music and today's Men's Marathon was a brutal course with one hill lasting over two miles! :wideeyed: Great atmosphere & very scenic as well.

I follow Hibs in terms of Scottish football and after last weeks debacle, I am worried abouts today's match against Celtic. :help:

I was over in NYC 2004 for the Marathon, a real party atmosphere & for early November it was actually quite warm (high 70s at Midday). I went clubbing at Shelter till 8am so as not to wake my room mate who was doing the marathon on the Sunday morning. He was a relative newbie to long distances then and did just over four hours but said the crowd support was amazing in all the boroughs.

I managed to see Paula Radcliffe put the throttle down and win in Central Park as well.

I don't know much about basketball but that Curry lad was great to watch in the final.
