They expanded it to include I think 6 North American teams. Wanted an expanded tourney in anticipation of the WC. Also, I am sure there was cash involved, and lot's of it

I missed it but didn't sound like a great game and the field was crap I heard. They wheeled it in and layed it over the artificial surface. Hey, I got an idea, the USA has loads and loads of big stadiums with grass fields, why not use them? Dumbasses
