Jesus that was a brutal ending ….

We looked comfortable throughout, without really risking going for it and creating enough proper chances to win the game.

When we did the chances either fell to a centre half, or resulted in the most blatantly wrong penalty call I’ve seen in a long time. Especially in the VAR era….

Hey ho, I’m not sure I’d have particularly enjoyed having to sit through a knockout game vs an inform Portugal side anyway…

It's good you can find a silver lining.

It was a horrible way to go out tho. Commiserations.

It was an incredible ending to the match and a great goal. This Italy side lacks the confidence and sharpness of the one from 3 years ago though.

He has indeed.

France messing up against Poland means they're now in the top half of the draw along with Germany, Portugal and Spain.....

The referee was disgraceful in Czech Republic v Turkey, I felt sorry for the Czechs in the end as they put everything into it, but to play nearly the whole game with 10 men was too much in the end.

Well, the group stages are done and we have the most lop-sided draw since the Russia 2018 WC, and no prizes for guessing which side of the draw England have spawned their way into...... :situps:

Mad to think that if Italy hadn't scored that 98th minute goal they'd be going home, along with Hungary, who in hindsight must feel a tad silly having celebrated like they'd won the tournament when they beat Scotland.....

Well last time England played albeit one game at home...lol

It sets up well for Italy as well, but they rarely do well 2 tourneys in a row.
