Is Scotland the last team to beat Spain?

Italy only allowed them 1 goal. But then again, Italy were still crap
It does provide a bit of context to that game, as at the time we probably didn’t realise how good Spain were…

And no idea how Scotland beat them back in October 2023. The extra long grass that Rodri complained about at Hampden that night must have been quite a leveller!

Worst tournament i've ever seen, by a long shot. Total borefest that couldn't end quick enough.

I was really looking forward to it as well, after enduring Allegri Shitball for three seasons i thought it couldn't get worse. This crap wasn't much better.

Trequartistas were pushed out of the big teams in the nineties to make way for non creative systems, now they're doing it to any creative wingers or forwards too i.e. Chiesa, so that there is only systems robots left on the pitch so we think talentless bores like Rabiot are creative despite not making one through ball. This tournament had zero skills, zero through balls, no goals from freekicks, top 10 goals were meh, top scorers only got 3 goals despite more games, no good defenders, no top keepers. Spain won the final despite crossing worse than an under 8s team. Just a load of boring systems and mediocre players more concerned about their bank balance, likes and selfies than they are about actually winning medals. What a load of dross.

It wasn't a classic tournament, the 2002 World Cup is still the worst for me though.

Edit: I agree the creativity and imagination is being taken out of players.

2010 Spain bored us to death. This tourney was boring as well. Barely watched anything after Italy went out. Copa America wasn't much better, but at least the crowds were really into it as some of the games. I agree with Myles on his rant

It used to be national teams had some distinctive styles. Brazil played a certain way, Argentina did, Mexico, Italia, Germany, etc...

Now everyone plays in Europe for the most part and any imagination is drummed out of the player.

I ran through all the tournaments I've watched and decided the 2002 and 2010 World Cup's were the worst. Euro 2000 was the best I think.

The globalisation of the game has undoubtedly caused this, and I think as a spectacle the game is worse for it.

I almost through my TV out the door when Wilford scored that goal. I knew it was going to end badly. I was already complaining about the added time which was way too much. And Italy had played that long semi final with 10 men against the Dutch in the semi's.

Oh BTW, Totti was man of the match in the Final. ADP missed two glorious chances provided to him...

I remember thinking there was too much added time in the final. The Italy - Holland semi final remains one of the most memorable games I've ever watched, the other semi final had plenty of drama too as did the tournament as a whole.

Delvecchio took ages to get off the pitch when he was subbed IIRC.
I knew in my bones Wiltord would score. He did that kinda thing for L' Arsenal all the time.
Gutted.
