I would say most of the games have been entertaining so far.
Unfortunately England v USA was a borefest! :angryhandswaving: :angryhandswaving: :angryhandswaving: :annoyedshakinghead: :annoyedshakinghead: :annoyedshakinghead:
I think we all know conceding those two goals against Iran kept Southgate up at night, hence the defensive style.

I swear this Mexican goalie was in goals for the Mexican dinosaurs back in the pre-historic world cup.

Ochoa was a Football Manager wonderkid a very long time ago. I think he played at the 2006 tournament.

Terrible incompetence from the referee giving the penalty against Uruguay.

That was never a penalty, nor was Portugal's in the first game. VAR interferes far more than it needs to and I'm not even liking the exact precision of the semi automated offsides as I think it's just going to lead to more goals being ruled out by very tiny margins that no one would have noticed before VAR.

Denmark was my dark horses. I think, bear with me and hear me out, I think, I may have jinxed them. I know that's hard to believe.

Lukaku back on form does for Belgium & Japan eliminate Germany. What a day, although to be honest, I didn't see any of it! :blushing2:

The final games of the Germany/Spain/Japan/Costa Rica group were brilliant and showed the sport at its best.

The drama at the end of the group stage was great again yesterday, and Fifa is expanding the tournament to 48 teams with groups of 3 in 2026. :annoyedshakinghead:

Spain's penalties were so bad they deserved to go out for that alone. I'll always maintain that slow and/or stuttery run ups greatly increase the chances of missing. Bringing a player on at the end of extra time to take a penalty is also a big mistake.

And Brazil were my favourites. :giggling:

God I love football. There's no substitute for the drama that it brings.

Its going to be a Morocco vs Croatia final isn't it?

Have to say though as soon as it went to pens, I don't think there has ever been a more obvious winner, wish I had put money on it. :standingonrake:

I did feel sorry for Ronaldo having to sit and watch that.
