Every game is different. Some extra time is exciting (Juve/Porto) and some boring (Man U/Villarreal*) with the away rule anyway. It is what it is. Ideally they'd get rid of extra time, go straight to pens. And yeah pens can be cruel but I still think they're the best way.

*i know away goals would count in that match but i was just using that as an recent example.

Away goals is a bit unfair but is extra time then pens better ? Imagine you have a very important game at the weekend and your team are going to be extra knackered. It could make all the difference in a tight race.

They both can be cruel, ideally games would always finish in the 90mins. But I prefer penalties for my entertainment, that may make me a sociopath.. :ninja:

Nah. I like pens as long as it's not my teams involved in them.

I actually don't like penalties, not really because it's cruel or anything, i just find them boring and tedious now. I think this stems from loads of penalties being awarded in Italy since VAR was introduced, i kind of roll my eyes now when one is awarded, even if it's for Juve. They're just given for stupid reasons and unintentional handballs or ball-to-hand on the edge of the square with no chance of a goal being denied anyway. Pfft! Penalty!
Now when it goes to penalty shootout i get bored and wouldn't care if someone switched the channel before i saw it.
Unless it's a final obviously, then i want to see the outcome i guess

More like something that made me laugh

Crewe Alexandra played a young lad, only 16, he got man of the match, but because he's too young to drink they gave him Jaffa Cakes and a packet of Ready Salted crisps.
You just know, they've panicked and sent someone to the local corner shop.
