F*** Musk btw
Yeh, have been reading for a long time now that Bluesky had the potential to be the one that stuck for emigres from Twitter, mainly because it wasn't controlled by Meta, who openly talked about not wanting Threads to be 'political', and was much easier to get your head round than Mastodon!
Musk did very well with pushing inovation with Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla, but he messed up by having to purchase twitter and was purely cockiness on his part that landed him in it. Now he wastes too much time on X which is a pity because he could be doing much better things. Musk seems to have lost focus on what he's good at. He needs to get off X and spend more time on the companies he founded and maybe start a new one.Tangerine Romanista wrote: ↑18-11-24 17:08Yeh, keeping it from becoming a cesspit will be the challenge!
At least (unlike X) they're not actively monetizing hate, which should help....
It's interesting as the cost to moving at first (especially as a UK based football fan) was using a platform that had way fewer users, almost zero large media orgs and little community to bounce off. Now that everyone's moving over VERY quickly, there's very little down side, and you get to give two fingers to Musk at the same time, which is a bonus!![]()
I thought this was an enjoyable take on the subject.....Myles wrote: ↑20-11-24 12:00Musk did very well with pushing inovation with Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla, but he messed up by having to purchase twitter and was purely cockiness on his part that landed him in it. X Out: A salty, cranky case for letting Twitter die

Shame. It's on my list. I only like RR as Deadpool, can't really stand him otherwise.
