Omg, fame !!!Duncan!! wrote: ↑24-02-24 00:45It would have worked on me!
Adrian is a super nice guy. Good instructor and appreciates the Highlander fandom. I trained with him on 4 seperate occasions and even talked some soccer with him. He is a fan of Charlton Athletic.
Knows a lot about sword technique, especially in relation to putting it on film. Also knows a few styles of Kung Fu like I have studied.
Have you kept up with the training ?
I roll my eyes at the American Psycho remake. There are so many things you could adapt out there. Bore off.
I remember reading the book. I purloined it from my sister. Very shocking for young me.

I originally saw it on a Tweet. Then I was speaking to a colleague who is a movie buff. And he said, he doesn't think it would be a remake of that movie, but the making of another movie from the author's books that feature Patrick Bateman. I can live with that.
Bukayo Saka = future GOAT.

The director said she hates that she screwed up the ending, she didn't know how to end it, or something like that. Never bothered me to be honest because the film is all about everything that happened before then. Anyway i gotta go, have a reservation for Dorsia in 15 minutes.

Watched it last night, it's great isn't it.
A film that is very much the epitome of Dune director Denis Villeneuve's recent quote:
“Frankly, I hate dialogue,” the filmmaker told The Times of London in a recent interview. “Dialogue is for theatre and television. I don’t remember movies because of a good line, I remember movies because of a strong image. I’m not interested in dialogue at all. Pure image and sound, that is the power of cinema, but it is something not obvious when you watch movies today.”

I really liked Incendies. Not an easy film to watch, quite brutal in parts but I definitely recommend it.
Yes, I liked Past Lives. The emotions involved & the fact it didn't end the way some might have expected or hoped.

I thought Sicario was brilliant, and sort of enjoyed Blade Runner 2049 (after being a huge fan of the original), though I did watch it on a plane, so feel like I really need to watch it again to appreciate it properly!verno wrote: ↑15-03-24 22:20Are you a Denis Villeneuve fan TR ?Tangerine Romanista wrote: ↑10-03-24 11:26Watched it last night, it's great isn't it.

I'm back on Netflix but I've decided to swerve the K-Drama for a while, instead I've gone for Gray with Patricia Clarkson as a former spy reurning to the CIA to uncover a mole within the agency. Very slick & entertaining so far.
80s classic film After Hours is back in a 4K print at Home in Manchester city centre so I may well watch again. Highly recommended if you've never seen it.
