I did not care for the first Deadpool, I enjoyed the second one with Josh Brolin as Cable, but this one is meh to me. A few nice surprises, but kind of average IMHO

Thanks for this, a good read. His review of Madame Web was also funny.

Cool, I'll have to check that out!

I got the link on Bluesky. Was an unusual experience to see a post about it without the horde of blue tick fanboys and bots abusing the writer for expressing a negative opinion of their dear leader. :cooler:

I know, it's weird being on BlueSky. I don't know whether to sign up or not. I never had a twitter account and that was fine until Elon happened and shut down access. What an absolute donkey.

Cannot make heads or tails of Mastodon. I have tried. :dunno:

I was a bit pissed and purchased Infernal Affairs at £13.99 on Apple TV. :wideeyed: :scolding: :spankingstick:

Still ace after all these years, I'd forgotten a lot of the twists and turns tbh. Definitely worth the cash outlay but the sequel & prequel are off limits at that price.

Also been watching the fifth & final series of Better Things on the Beeb IPlayer. Outstanding and Celia Imrie steals every scene she's in. :lollaughing:

You can rent them on Apple for £3.49 or there's a dvd box set on eBay for about £8.

I dropped Better Things a while ago because it was too stressy, lots of shouting & chaos. I will go back to it at some point.

I had all three DVDs in the Infernal Affairs series but I lent them out to God knows who & never saw them again. The story of my life tbh............. :help:

Better Things series 5 is the only one on the beeb player now, the rest have transferred to Disney unfortunately.

Oh. I have Disney, for the moment.

I never lend things out anymore due to 'incidents' where things were never returned, were accidentally sold on eBay or were returned in terrible condition. Why are people like this ?

Indeed. I had some unsavoury words to say.

Seen some decent flicks in the last couple of weeks - Emily the Criminal, All of Us Strangers and Monster by one of my fave directors, Hirokazu Kore-eda.

They all sound interesting, your last recommendation's a sad reminder that Ryuichi Sakamoto is no longer with us.....

Yes. My Mum had the Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence soundtrack and we listened to it all the time when we were kids. We made up our own words to some of the tracks. Now we argue over who made up which lyrics. We are all in our forties.

I first heard that song, not the Kermit version, in Down & Out in Beverley Hills. Another childhood fave.

I think the second season of Severance starts tomorrow on Apple and then one each week until 21st March. I'm rewatching season 1 so will start season 2 down the line a bit so i don't have to wait a week between each new episode, my memory doesn't last that long anymore. :ninja:

Thanks Myles. :coolreddancer:

I wouldn't worry about your memory as it's been three years since the last episode of season one dropped! :flooredlaughing:

This might make you happy though:

I recently purchased all three series of Twin Peaks and with the great man's passing yesterday, they will get a rewatch in his honour.
