RIP Carlo Mazzone. I remember him being a great character who was full of passion for the game. I still remember that time he confronted the Atalanta fans.

Yeah that was great! He ran down to their end and gave them the business. Managed both Totti and Baggio and was well loved

I never knew much about Mazzone but he seemed like one of the good ones.

Carlo Mazzone, aged 86, Manager, Roma born & Bred.

Truly gutted right now, they don't make them like him anymore!

This story is worth reading, I suspect it contains a lot of the reasons why we all love Italian football so much! :salute:

Here's an insight into how he operated on matchday.

Yevgheny Prigozhin, grade A tosser.

I am surprised it took this long for him to die in an "accident".

Maybe he is faking his death, pre-empting an "accident"....

My aunt is a wise woman. But it looks like he may actually be dead. I mean in what world do you betray Putin and live? Not this one.

Good point Unless the whole betraying Putin thing was a ruse in the first place...... Ask your aunt about that one

They've said it's him but is it? 🤔

The whole coup thing was utterly bizarre. Prigozhin, supposedly banished to Belarus, has been coming & going to Moscow at liberty & was allowed access to his money & weapons. Mysterious.

They are going pin it on somebody & that's the person I feel sorry for.

It doesn't make sense for it to have been a ruse. But then again not much in this world makes sense anymore.
Like Verno said its bizarre.

Unless he really was working for the CIA, MI6, or the Mossad and was going to squeal and got aced and made it look like Putin would have done it?
