He is in one of my favorite all time flics- Hoosiers. He played the part of coach Norman Dale superbly. Growing up in Indiana myself and a basketball player since a young lad, this movie hits home although set before my time.

Gene Hackman is my all time favourite actor, ever since seeing him in Mississippi Burning when I was a kid, it was a moving movie and a performance that affected me greatly.
It was upsetting to read he died, but not surprising, as he was 95. But then reading his wife also died, and there may be more to it, is just awful. Hopefully, they police get to the bottom of it soon.
