It's important we don't concede first this evening or it could be a bad/ boring 90 odd minutes.

Another disappointing result, but you can't fault the commitment and effort of the players.
There are a few factors (and not taking your chances doesn't help!), but you have to think that injuries to key attacking players like Lukaku and Dybala have come at exactly the wrong time of the season and DDR's (necessary) attempts to rotate the squad hasn't really worked in recent weeks.... (Exhibit A for the prosecution = Kristianson at RB...)
Also, just reading that Atalanta's final game in hand against Fiorentina will likely be played in June, after the season's finished. De Rossi acknowledged that there's nothing that can be done about it, but still frustrating they'll be playing such a pivotal game when their opponents will very likely be "on the beach" already....

The Lega A is a joke. Their scheduling is nonsense in making up games. I am very pessimistic about making the CL at this point, and it's down to the first 20 games of the season only amassing 29 points. It's been catch up ever since. Svilar was great again and we did have a number of chances, but just couldn't grab the 3 points.

Jeez, Adidas have so much to work with in terms of iconic previous Roma kits, and they've come up with a clone of Spain's kit and a generic looking template.....Duncan!! wrote: ↑08-05-24 20:53Nah, this sucks.https://football-italia.net/real-images ... it-leaked/

No surprise to hear that I'm fairly pessimistic about our chances tonight....
Leverkusen wrapping up the Bundesliga early hasn't affected their motivation at all and they appear to be on an unstoppable mission to go through the season unbeaten....
Word is that we'll play Tammy and Romelu up top (with Dybala not fit enought to start) and revert to 3 at the back....Not feeling that as a tactic at all, as whenever DDR's tried it recently it's rarely worked....
But hey, will be interesting to watch us try and get back into the tie, luckily DDR will be instilling more confidence into the players than most of us supporters will be able to muster!

Yeh, that was fairly gutting......though I never 100% felt it was on...
Horrible way to lose in the end though and Svilla was still man of the match, despite the slight error for the goal. He's been absolute class and is going to be our No 1 for years
As ever de Rossi was spot on after the game and summed it up better than anyone else could.

Gutted for everyone Romanisti because that was a great effort last night by the players & DDR, they couldn't quite get the job done.

No Dybala and RB again looks a problem......
Other than that, let's get at them!Atalanta vs. Roma line-ups
Atalanta: Carnesecchi; De Roon, Hien, Djimsiti; Hateboer, Koopmeiners, Ederson, Ruggeri; Pasalic; De Ketelaere, Scamacca
Roma: Svilar; Kristensen, Mancini, Ndicka, Angelino; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini; Baldanzi, Lukaku, El Shaarawy

Well. That might be the worst 45mins of football I’ve seen from Roma this season…
Heads went as soon as the first goal went in…they all look completely demoralised….
When it goes it goes. And this season’s gone….

Complete agree Duncan, wasn't meant as a criticism of DDR and the team, but just that when it came to the crunch we've come up short for a number of reasons....
The teams you mention all looked fitter, physically stronger, more confident and better organised than us. But I'd expect the gap to close when De Rossi has a full summer to instill his methods and shape the squad to his preference.
The one thing I definitely expect us to be is a lot fitter!
