Great goal to win it and we're back into the CL places. Now for Thursday!

Yep. Important 3 pts and great to see Solbakken getting off the mark quickly.
We were very unlucky to lose in the EL, so can see us turning it around if we can get a few 1st choice players back in time….
Oh and was pleased to see Karsdorp back playing. He’s a bit of a headcase, but he gives us a lot more going forward than other RWB options!!

I agree with all of that! Thursday should be fun if we can play with the same intensity......

For some reason, TR, I was still chuckling at your 'he's a bit of a headcase' statement yesterday.
Tbh every team/ squad needs a mixture of characters to win trophies so I'm glad Karsdorp is our headcase.

Glad my description provided some entertainment!
BTW do you think we’ll ever have a proper left footed LWB? Spinazzola at his peak was good enough to make you forget he was predominantly right footed, but watching either SES or Zalewski constantly slowing down attacks by cutting back inside is so frustrating….

These constructive comments certainly paid off last night, TR! Great performance in the first half & you were also right that we'd pull through in the home leg.
Just the draw to get through before Tuesday's game?!?!

I've seen RS against United twice so far and they're good but beatable. It's a tough draw but one where we need a good first leg in Rome to have a good chance of the last eight. The Basque fans also travel in good numbers so it should be a great occasion at the Olympico!

Yep, like the RS hierarchy I'm just happy we didn't get Man U (yet).....
For large parts of the game we looked like a different team on Thursday night, forward thinking, pressing the ball, attacking the space out wild. Fingers crossed we can maintain that momentum against Cremonese.

Fingers crossed both get through to the last eight & avoid each in the next draw!Tangerine Romanista wrote: ↑25-02-23 13:36Yep, like the RS hierarchy I'm just happy we didn't get Man U (yet).....![]()

I will be very interested to see the team tonight in a game we have to win after the other results so far this round. To rotate or not rotate.........?

The Thursday night was great then that performance brings all Romanisti back to earth with a bump. We shouldn't expect anything less but it still hurts!

It was his “There’s a conspiracy against me/us” distraction technique this time.
Jeez. At this rate we’re in serious danger of throwing away a great opportunity to finish in the top 4.

Yep, I enjoyed that!
Proper switched on performance again. It's almost like we need two managers, one for the tight, tense big games and one for the away games against smaller teams when we need to actually score a few goals!
Sunday was a decent day of football all round.....
