The new Hip-Hop album from Oddisee is ace plus pre-release snippets from Young Fathers, Kelela & Yazmin Lacey are excellent. Apple Music had the full release of the YF's album up for streaming last week but it was rapidly taken down as it's not officially out until Feb 23rd!
Been listening to some UK rap, Stormzy, Dave, Little Simz, liking the UK scene better than the US scene for rap at the moment, although I did just discover Denzel Curry, he's 5 albums into his career, so I've got a little catching up to do.
Also, a bit of Wu-Tang and their solo stuff, sometimes you can't beat the classics.
Bonnie Raitt was trending on Twitter yesterday and I was scared she had died but it was because she won a Grammy.
Not so cool was everybody being so shocked and even some people not knowing who she is.
Ab-Soul is a new Hip-Hop artist I have to admit I'd never heard of till last week but his latest LP 'Herbert' is top drawer. Thanks to the NPR email for the heads up.
Also Philip D Kicks' 'Off World Tales' is ace even if I'm not sure how to correctly put it in a genre.
Tunico's self titled Jazz album is also aces and feels like it will blow the cobwebs of Winter away with each listen.

I'm always on the look-out for new Hip-Hop, will check him out.
I've discovered a new English singer called Raye, she sings and half talks/raps, you can clearly hear her accent through her music which gives it a little oomph, you know, not just another singer trying to sound American. Her music is a mixed bag of pop/R&B/dance, I think the only way I could describe it as Amy Winehouse for the 2020s.
