This issue started up again about mid January and escalated about 2 weeks ago and i was holidaying for two weeks. It's amazing that every time i go away the forum starts getting issues

I'm hoping to have time tomorrow to look into it properly, else Sunday.

It can be a number of issues but it's likely to be exceeding the 50 concurrent connections per minute allowed with the hosting. 50 should be more than enough so the issue is possibly too many bots. There might be a way to deny the connections from bots using the htaccess file, else i'll look into the firewall options. There's no point paying for more concurrent connections per minute because that's not really solving the root cause so those extra resources could just get eaten up anyway. I'll see what the cause is first and then look at the options to resolve it.

Sorry for the issue, i know its really bad now at this stage.

Yep, I first noticed it in mid January. It went away but now it's back with a vengeance.
If I refresh the page it helps but just getting onto the foro, signing in or opening a topic takes ages.

Hope it's not too hard to fix, Myles. Don't like to think of you slogging away at the coalface on the weekend.

I've had the same issue with pages also being slow to load. It seemed to go away a few days ago but has turned slow again.

It's a bit quicker today, but not normal still, and I just had the resource limit error twice when trying to enter this thread.

I've blocked the source IP that was the cause of a crazy spike in connections starting in December and increasing since. Will see how it affects the issue, the logs and the web analyzer charts over the next 24-48 hours but i think this is the root cause so hopefully the forum performance improves now.
