ETA: Although this usually reliable site seems to indicate TNS Sport still as the rights for 2023/24??
https://www.live-footballontv.com/live- ... on-tv.html
Although imagine we’ll lose any pre match build up shows with the two James’?

I believe all BT's contracts have carried over. Goodness knows if we'll get the same level of coverage though.

Might be replaced with the Saudi league if Serie A doesn't enter the 21st century before the century is half over.

Thanks Liam, always hard to find definitive details of this sort of thing. And we’ve had to try fairly often as the rights have bounced around the various channels over the years!
Will be happy if they still have the rights, but silence from James Richardson around the TNS Sports launch probably suggests they’ve chosen the budget option of just showing the live games….unless they get some 28 year old influencer to host the show….

To be fair, James Richardson was 26 when Football Italia first aired, seems crazy
Fingers crossed they keep the same format and number of games as last year...

That’s a good point Flotron! We were all a bit younger back then……
Mad to think he was a producer at the time and only stepped into presenting duties because Gazza couldn’t be relied upon to turn up for the gig….

At least you're getting all the games for that. It adds up in a cost of living crisis though.

They're still blacking out between 2:45 and 5:15 on Saturdays according to the sub heading What football is on TNT Sports?
How is that even legally binding, it's anti competitive. Plus i don't see why these TV networks are too lazy to figure out how it doesn't have to apply to subscribers outside the british jurisdiction.

That's a rule that was put in place decades ago to protect attendances at English league matches and primarily exists to ensure lower teams who rely more heavily on gate receipt money get better attendances. I don't understand why they'd apply it outside of the UK. I'm not even sure if it is legally binding either, or just an agreement which everybody honours.

It's a good idea and done for the right reason, for once, but I also think it's weird to apply it to games outside the UK.

Thanks flotron, great to have it confirmed that TNT sports will be showing the games at least.
Still no word on any additional studio shows to back up the Sunday night games, and if there was going to be a presenter fronted show you would have expected to have heard about it by now....but hey in the UK & Ireland Serie A community we're well used to good things disappearing from our screens over the years....

Inter before the Sassuolo game - "we'll win 8 games in a row up to the international break".
Anyone for a slice of arrogance?
