The commentator in one of yesterday's games said they were being auctioned off.

Looks like the whole of Naples was having a massive party. Good for them.

A few of my cousins in the south of Italy were celebrating. It seems like the whole Sud is happy

That was a nice read, especially as I'm increasingly nostalgic on all things football.

Very good. Also, Totti and ADP! Fantastic. Think at one time Italy had a young Totti, ADP, AND Baggio!

Now what do they have

I remember an article in the FI magazine in the late 90s that listed Italy's options for the number 10 shirt and the depth was astonishing. Italy doesn't seem to be producing those players any more partly because of tactical changes but also I don't think football as a whole produces as many players like that these days where their technique and imagination are their primary qualities. Del Piero did so many astonishing things on the pitch as did Totti, Baggio, Mancini etc. I don't think any of the leading players today will have such an impressive highlight reel at the end of their careers.

More athletes & less artists on the pitch nowadays unfortunately. Also there are fewer characters in modern football but obviously more care is taken with many influencing athletic factors. All a bit boring tbh.

In more positive news, I really want to go to the above next season! Thanks for the heads up TR.

I was looking at a picture of the 1990 Italy squad vs Eire.

Baggio, Schillaci, Bergomi, Baresi, Maldini, Zenga, etc.....

I saw this. Great read. It was very nostalgic to see all the old names. I remembered how Candela used to bug me. Good times.

I loved Candela! Him & Cafu were the modern fullbacks now common place in football but 20 years before their time.

Balls. I could be wrong, but can’t see any mention of Serie A in the launch details of TNS Sports…. .

Anyone know who’s bagged the rights? If anyone….
