I doubt it. From what I've read it'll give players more freedom if the club chooses to cancel their contract and then puts barriers in the way when they try to sign for someone else. I'm guessing Adrian Mutu was a similar case as Chelsea cancelled his contract and then wanted compensation from him afterwards.

Anything too drastic would destroy the game's economy.

Also a teaser about the potential for more Serie A broadcast content in the offing?

A magazine programme on Saturday mornings would be a good addition, along with the original theme tune, messr Gazza and half eaten sundaes after the commercial break while reporting the papertalk from a sunny roman piazza.

A magazine show would be nice. I liked what they had on BT a couple of years ago before the Sunday night matches, and going back a bit further, the European Football Show.

Though I do wonder how a magazine show would work in the context of an app that is geared towards live matches.

The beauty of Gazzetta was that it lived in a very specific time of the week (the hangover slot on late Saturday morning...), with highlights from games you likely hadn't seen from the week before, along with previews of the weekend's matches ahead (like Football Focus, which I just had to double check was still on TV, as I haven't watched it for years.....).

I'm not sure how well something like that would work in the non-linear TV age....

Though of course Serie A might be thinking of producing a show and licensing it to the various outlets that show matches, or even further afield to the likes of Channel 4 etc? That could work well!

I'd like a magazine show as it'd show highlights from all the games in one place as well as providing general coverage of the league. For me it saves me having to find the highlights of all the games I want to see on Youtube or wherever.

I'm perhaps old fashioned in that regard, I still watch MOTD too.

Tbh, I don't like either club but it was great to see a ranting Conte on the touchline.

Yep, was a bit of a shock given their recent run of form.

Have to admit I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Napoli, due to their anti-big club, upstart nature and have been enjoying the frankly surreal sight of Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay playing for them this season.
