The distopian performance is Roma right now. Getting waxed 4-1 by Genoa at the moment and I turned it off.

How about that Jose and his tactics.....

F'n pitiful

A shameful display, excepting an excellent goal, they capitulated second half and yes I too turned it off as they didn't deserve anything more. :seeya:

I see the travelling Romanisti gave them & JM a bollocking at FT! Quite right as well.... :swearing: :swearing: :swearing: :swearing: :tongueout: :tongueout: :tongueout: :tongueout:

I'd say so.

Anyone with Apple shares from that mid 80s period is worth a few bob now!

Even though I was a youngster the semi final is a fairly vivid memory for me as well... :ninja:

I didn't see that since they only showed the Final on late night Chicago cable access TV on replay. But of course I didn't know who won. We got no soccer news back then unless it was Pele

Oh yes.....but the pressure really got to the United team, and even though the ref got paid a £50k bribe.....there's every chance they would have lost the game anyway....

Just reading about the antics the ref from the 2nd leg got up to. I'm guessing he was always well looked after when he visited Italy over the years..... :flooredlaughing:
MICHEL VAUTROT 1990
Absent-minded referee Vautrot had onlookers scratching their heads in puzzlement as he added on eight minutes injury time to the first period of extra time in the semi-final between Italy and Argentina in 1990. The Frenchman later admitted he had forgotten to check his watch.

Not a sparkling performance, but a win is a win! Good to see the Captain getting on the scoresheet since he has been taking a lot of crap from some section of the fan base.

Also nice to see a last second goal from the Bhoys to get the win on Saturday! Hail Hail!

I was pleased with the performance, even though as stated it wasn't great, as it was a must win for everyone at the club. Two classy goals as well! :coolreddancer: :coolreddancer: I let out a sigh of relief as the second hit the net.

I'm also pleased EDF is doing well again after a sticky managerial period post Roma, I think they'll comfortably stay up.

To think he had us in the Champions League semifinals that we could have won if not for some questionable calls at that hell hole called Anfield.
